A day is for a problem that is already costing you.
I’m someone who can watch a system for an afternoon and say which friction is physics and which is story.
That may be a talk that will not land: two issues treated as one, a feeling that wanted a name, a plan that wanted a grown-up, blame in the air. I will not take a side so I can be right and someone can be wrong.
It may also be the work-room. I have measured and mapped floors and systems, counted how many shelves fit, and replaced low tables and spinning chairs with desks you can stand at, so the body is not punished for fetching and packing. That was a real shop floor.
If people and tools are busy but the work still takes too long, I observe the load and inspect for the hunt, wait, double-handling; that’s the day.
What leaves the table depends on the day: a short written note, a brief, a deck, a recorded walkthrough, a next plan. Not every Tuesday produces a book or system overhaul. Sites, projects, systems and books are scoped apart.
A person who can still think in the room is part of the exchange. I invoice that.
Hours I can keep
Monday to Friday, after drop-off, done before the child needs a mother again. No evenings. No Sundays.
